Built Around a Higher Standard

Blackline Automotive was built around a simple belief: if something is worth doing, it is worth doing properly.

My name is Collin, owner and operator of Blackline Automotive. I have more than 10 years of hands-on detailing experience and over five years of experience owning and operating my own detailing business.

Blackline is independently owned and operated, meaning the person you speak with, the person evaluating your vehicle, and the person performing the work are one and the same.

That is intentional.

I have always been extremely detail-oriented, and throughout my working life I have never been comfortable settling for someone else's definition of “good enough.” I notice the small things. I care about the steps that are easy to overlook. And when my name is attached to something, I want to know it was done correctly.

That mindset ultimately became the foundation for Blackline.

From Collin’s Mobile Detailing to Blackline Automotive

Blackline Automotive is not where my detailing career began.

Before Blackline, I spent more than five years building and operating Collin’s Mobile Detailing, serving clients throughout the area while developing my skills, processes, customer service, and understanding of what it takes to run a professional detailing business.

Those years were invaluable. They gave me experience with a wide range of vehicles, paint systems, interior conditions, client expectations, and real-world challenges that cannot be learned from a course or product manual alone.

As my experience grew, so did the direction I wanted to take the business.

I became increasingly focused on paint correction, ceramic coatings, preservation, and higher-level automotive care. I wanted the time and environment to work more methodically, use better processes, continue investing in professional equipment and training, and provide a more refined experience for clients who genuinely value quality.

That led to the complete transition and rebrand from Collin’s Mobile Detailing into Blackline Automotive.

Blackline represents the next stage of that business — a more specialized, quality-driven operation built around premium detailing, paint correction, ceramic protection, and a higher standard of service.

The name changed. The experience behind it did not.

Experience Built Through the Work

My experience with detailing began more than a decade ago, but my background extends far beyond automotive appearance.

Over the years, I have worked in physically demanding and detail-sensitive environments involving ship repair, electrical work, drywall and painting, lead removal and remediation, automotive work, and other hands-on trades.

Those experiences reinforced something that has always been part of my personality: I do not shy away from difficult, tedious, or time-consuming work.

Whether that means spending hours refining paint under inspection lighting, working through a complicated correction process, revisiting an area that does not meet my expectations, or continually improving the way a service is performed, I would rather invest the additional time than compromise the finished result.

Specializing in Paint Correction & Ceramic Protection

Today, Blackline Automotive specializes in premium detailing, paint correction, and professional ceramic coating services.

Every vehicle is evaluated individually because no two vehicles, finishes, ownership habits, or client expectations are exactly the same. The process begins by understanding the condition of the vehicle and the client's goals before recommending the appropriate level of correction, enhancement, or protection.

I am fully insured and continue to invest heavily in education, professional products, equipment, and training.

I am also currently pursuing professional certification with Opti-Coat and C6 Ceramics, including training related to ceramic coating and paint protection film applications.

For me, education does not stop with a certification.

The detailing industry is constantly evolving. New polishing systems, coatings, chemicals, tools, application methods, and techniques continue to enter the market, and I make it a priority to continually study, test, and refine my process.

I believe becoming exceptional at a craft requires remaining a student of it.

Quality Over Volume

Blackline Automotive is not a volume detailing operation.

I am not interested in seeing how many vehicles can be pushed through in a day or cutting steps simply to finish a job faster. Blackline is intentionally centered around quality rather than quantity.

That means allowing the proper amount of time for each vehicle, following the correct processes, working methodically, and paying attention to the details that ultimately separate an average result from an exceptional one.

There are faster ways to detail a vehicle.

That simply is not what Blackline was built to do.

Personally Handled From Start to Finish

One of the greatest advantages of working with an independently owned operation like Blackline is accountability.

Your vehicle is not passed between multiple technicians or handed off to whoever happens to be available that day. I personally oversee and perform the work from the initial inspection through the final walkthrough.

That allows me to maintain consistency throughout the entire process and gives each client a direct relationship with the person actually responsible for the finished result.

For owners who are particular about their vehicles, I believe that matters.

The Blackline Standard

Blackline Automotive exists for owners who care about how their vehicles are treated.

Whether the goal is to restore depth and clarity to the paint, correct years of defects, preserve a new vehicle, protect the finish with a professional ceramic coating, or simply maintain a vehicle at a higher level, every service is approached with patience, precision, and respect for the vehicle.

With 50+ five-star reviews across Google and Facebook, the reputation built throughout my years in business has been earned through consistent results, clear communication, and a commitment to doing the job correctly from start to finish.

Blackline is the evolution of everything I learned while building Collin’s Mobile Detailing — refined into a business with a clearer focus, a higher standard, and a commitment to the level of work I want my name associated with.

There is no assembly line and no shortcut-driven process.

Just careful work, continued improvement, and a standard I am willing to put my own name behind.

That is the Blackline standard.
